Five men have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was found stabbed to death in woodland.
Police and ambulance crews were called to a wooded area between H6 Childs Way and Padstow Avenue in Fishermead, Milton Keynes, at about 15:20 GMT.
Thames Valley Police said there was a report of an “altercation” between a group of men, during which one of them was stabbed.
The victim, in his 20s, died at the scene. The arrested men are in custody.
Det Insp Mike Roddy said a police cordon was in place and asked the public to avoid the area.
He said: “Our priorities at this time are to conduct a thorough investigation into this incident and support those who have been affected.
“Officers are currently at the scene, which has been cordoned off and we would ask members of the public to avoid the area.”
He asked anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area or with any mobile phone, dashcam or CCTV footage to contact police.
“I understand that this incident will have caused concern within the community, but please be assured that the major crime unit has commenced an extensive investigation,” he added.
